Profile

Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
Vegetarian working on going vegan.
About Me:
I've been a vegetarian for about 19-20 years. I am a proud mother to my 3 1/2 year old daughter who I have raised vegetarian. I do not wish to partake in such cruelty, pain and suffering to animals. I can live my life proudly knowing that I am not contributing to their suffering. I want my daughter to do the same and hope to lead by the best example I can.

Humane Farming in California!

So my friend and I stood for 2.5 hours in the freezing cold in front of IKEA to collect signatures for the Humane California measure that is hopefully going to be on the November 2008 ballot if enough signatures are collected. This was a first for me as far as petitioning for signatures.

First I will say, people are downright RUDE. It's so unfortunate that people have decided to close their minds as well as ears to not even want to know what we're offering them to sign for and vote for…

I understand how you feel about what people say about Christianity and animals. But others feel like you do.

I began a group for the discussion of faith and vegetarianism and veganism. It is important to me too.

A bit of musing from me today after reading some things on a VegHaven member's page.

......Nature and the Gods and Goddesses of it are sometimes used by evil and by good, upsetting the yin and yang of our mortal human lives.

The wolf story, in my eyes, is the story of the older parent who is easily swayed by negativity, doubt and fear and so, succumbs to evil, denial, envy, domination as a way of life. The birth of life is the peaceful side of the wolf. The child brings hope, love, compassiona for the earth, much like indians did, but without the warfare.

Just thought you might like to hear from me.

May your paths all have peace and evolutionary revelations littering them like fairies in the woods soaring with joy over the birth of a new member.

Hey Alison!
I was vegetarian for 2 years before becoming vegan. I wish I had become vegan before, but I was always making up excuses.
Well, good luck on your transition, it's not so hard as it seems. Let me know if you need any help.
take care

Hey, hi, Alison

It's Spring Break... so I've been busy blogging. I hope the following brings a bit more cheer to your day:

The Myth of Mankind Behavior of Hate, Bigotry and Oppression

It's all quite simple, really. There is no such thing as not being able to be good, kind, decent, vegan and planetary, universal rights oriented.

There is no big bad thing about perfect life that we can muck up, except to continue to be murderers, oppressors, greedy bigots and ad nausiem.

Life is merely the game of enjoying ourselves, our creativity and our livingness. There is NOTHING to fear by being prohealth of people, animals and planet.

Now let's all run immediately out, as soon as we're totally solid and have friends to walk with us, to stop the world from ALL its maddness. (Okay, okay... saunter out at yer own leisure....)
