Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?: Vegan! Is there any other way?

About Me:: I love to paint....create....sing at the top of my lungs....write
...laugh...smile...cry. I'm a vegan jazz vocalist with a very quarky personality. I love Zombie movies, ketchup on my meatless tacos, peanut butter on my pancakes, Tom Waits, my dogs Gunny and Gabby, jokes in bad taste, knee socks, ugly neck ties and dorks. I am also very stubborn, I don't share well, I love the smell of lavender, I'm extremely moody and impulsive. I love animals more than people, I love pink grapefruit jelly bellies, I believe society for the most part has become apathetic and that makes me sad. I believe there are better alternatives than war, I still listen to Hootie and the Blowfish, I jump on my bed every morning to the Garden State soundtrack, I hate shoes, I can turn my tongue upside down. I love vegetarians and vegans, I love bad weather, I hate ignorance especially when one chooses to be so, I love taking pictures of people's faces, I find the things that society says are ugly quite beautiful. I dream of saving the world and get frustrated when I can't, I want to cure aids, end starvation, stop animal cruelty, find a solution to homelessness, I get frustrated when people won't listen, I get scared of getting too close, I desperately want a tattoo and don't know what's stopping me, I think the war budget should be spent elsewhere, I want to move to Colorado. I love Broadway Musicals and sing all the words to several of them, I believe in ghosts, I love cemetaries, I love art..any art, I love Miranda July (if you don't know of her do yourself a favor and find out) I believe in being yourself..something I am just learning how to do, I collect children's literature and I love the smell of book stores. I believe in compassion for all sentient beings.....I don't neccessarily believe in your god but I do believe in my god. I believe life is precious, thoughts are important, creativity is the soul of the world, and music is the hearts poetry. I have begun a spiritual journey..where I'll end up?...who knows. When I became vegan I told my hubby that if he wanted meat, he had to buy and cook it himself. He's a terrible cook and he and my father-in-law are growing real tired of hamburger patties lol. So this morning I asked them if they'd like something different for dinner. Their faces lit up and I asked them if I made vegan enchiladas would they eat them....automatically they said "NO!" So I told them, "I guess you'll have hamburger patties again!" lol It is so funny to watch them choke down hamburge… Continue

Happy Birthday Pop!

Today is my Father-in-Law's 75th Birthday. We have decided to take him to The Getty Museum.....if you have never been...it's a must! They even have vegan/veggie choices in their cafe...yay! Anyway..I'm out the door and will have lot's of pics to post when I get home!

Let's get this first entry out of the way....

I never know what to write in a first entry....why is it so awkward lol....like being the new kid in school or something. *big breath* ok here goes......
