[Learn About Other Groups] [Our Mission]

Welcome to the F-U-N Vegetarian Community!

Welcome to www.VegHaven.org! Before we get to the fun we have one reality check to complete.

The video below shows what happens every day around the world.

I swear, after this video, we're a lot of F-U-N!

"A human being is a part of the whole called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty". Albert Einstein

Welcome!

Many people will find the above video shocking but one needs to keep in mind that what appears on that video is what happens every day around the world. [Why Vegetarian]

It's not some special report or some special interest lobbying to sell more "stuff". It's simply a video that shows you what happens every day all over the world.

Take pride my friend! Know what a tremendous difference you're making in the world when you follow a plant based diet. Your participation here is makingh a difference.

Vegans and Vegetarians like you are part of a human revolution that's making a real differnce in the world.

Be proud. The fight for the environment, the fight for animals is not "out there" somewhere. It's in living rooms and homes like yours. It's on dinner tables accross the world every night of the week.

Whether you care about animals or you want to help the environment; moving to a plant based diet is the single most impactful thing you can do!

That's where VegHaven.org hopes to makea difference. Besides myself this site is run by some great volunteers like Toni . I hope you leave them a comment and tell them how much you appreciate them.

This site and all the projects you see us doing are supported by from the Goggle Ads you see on the right. We take that check and each month we decide were to donate it! [Learn More]

If you're not Vegetarian or Vegan you're welcome here too. In fact we consider it an honor to help people learn more so they can make an informed decision. We have no judgements on where you are right now. All that we ask is that your participation here be sincere.

Use the resources on this site, ask others their experaince and use this community as a tool to help you achieve your highest human potential.

I've been successful in other areas for my life and now want to apply what I've learned to something that matters. I'm most known for my promotion of a movie called "The Secret".

I want to create a community that matters. VegHaven.org is the start of big vision.

By particpating here and having fun; by inviting your friends to join us here you're helping fund great activities that are creating a more compassionaet world. [Learn More]

So when I see you invited a friend here or when I see you conributed to the community by posting you experiance or questions I'm appreciating you for helping contribute to the creation of a non profit that will be like none other!

Namaste,
Chris Tinney

Grub

I totally forgot it was Pride weekend in SF and I made reservations for me and my best friend to celebrate her birthday at Millenium. We had a hell of a time navagating the sea of men in red wigs and prom dresses and bears in chaps to get there. Once we did, it was well-worth it as always. Millenium, why must you be so delicious? Our dinner was more than my entire month's food budget but it was great and it's hard to feel badly supporting a vegan place.

Two months later.

Yeah, it's been a while, I know.

First order of business: I wanted to give a much belated THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Crosshairs premiere back in April. And another thank you to the compliments about my performance. I don't do as much acting now, so it feels good to hear that every now and then.

Second, George Carlin passed away last night at the age of 71. Bummer. He was one of the funniest and most thought-provoking comedians in history. As I've commented with a friend…

A Month of "Fast Food" Can Wreck You Liver

A Month of Fast Food Can Wreck Your Liver Tuesday, June 10, 2008 by: Joanne Waldron (NaturalNews) Just one month of eating fast food and walking less than 5000 steps in a day is all it takes to impair liver function. That’s what scientists found in a study published in Gut, a peer review journal for health professionals and researchers in gastroenterology and hepatology. Just for reference, some doctors recommend that normal, healthy individuals should walk about 10,000 steps (or about one hou… Continue
